Liquid Epoxy Primer is a family of two-component, specially formulated 100% volume solids epoxy coatings.

Liquid Epoxy Primer is designed for direct-to-steel application providing superior corrosion protection on field applied girth-weld joints on 3-layer heat-shrinkable sleeve systems. The Liquid epoxy primer needs to be applied on the steel surface only. The Liquid epoxy primer can be used with wrap around girth weld sleeve and tubular heat shrinkable sleeve for PE, FBE or CTE coatings.

Features:

(1)Liquid epoxy primer offers superior corrosion protection for field welded joints of steel pipes, supply equivalent corrosion protection to the FBE primary layer in 3 layer polyethylene coated pipelines .

(2)Liquid epoxy primer will improve the Cathodic Disbondment resistance results for hotmelt type adhesives when compared against bare steel substrate.

(3)Liquid epoxy primer have superior force cured epoxy. Proven method of force curing the Liquid epoxy primer to the steel enables the installer to 'pre-inspect' the joint prior to sleeve application .

(4)Liquid epoxy primer saves time. The improved chemical bonding that is achieved from the adhesive to the force cured epoxy layer allows for reduced sleeve installation times due to lower heat requirements.

Liquid epoxy primer is normally supplied in kit form, consisting of pre-measured quantities of Base & Cure packed separately, along with small tools like mixing stick, protective gloves and application pad. Please mention the pipe size for ordering the kits. Liquid epoxy primer can be supplied in bulk form against special request.

Note: Above quantities are for a 450mm wide sleeve. For other sleeve widths, quantity of primer can be calculated proportionately.
